I Love Deserts (Why its called a desert)  |

 People i will tell you, my most preferable food stuff is deserts whether its ice cream, cakes, fruit salad, fried ice cream etc etc. Every time i go to a restaurant i say to myself 'no deserts this time' but i end up eating 1 or 2 deserts. I know its a lot of calories but i simply can't resist it. I just forget the amount of fat in it when i put the first piece in my mouth.
And i really don't no why they call it a 'Desert' even though its sweet, cold and soft. Can anyone explain me. Also tell whats your favorite desert. This topic is cool isn't it.

| 2. Lostinoz (95) | 3 years ago |  If I am not mistaken, "dessert" comes from a word meaning "to clear the table" as it is served last and the table was cleared to make way for it. I could be wrong. It has been a while since I studied word origins.: )However it is usually a sweet dish served after a meal. My favorite dessert is ice cream or anything with hot fudge sauce!

I found mylot and am really enjoying the different people and their discussions and it helps me to relax and wind-down from a hectic day.
I also like fruit salad with ice cream, though I like fresh fruit and it is rather expensive this time of year and not near as tasty as in the summer.: ) | |

As for my favourite Dessert;it is ButterScotch Icecream or Kulfi-Faluda.
