'The Alchemist'- by Paulo Coelho

It is a fiction as well as an inspirational master piece. I feel that this book can work wonders in cases where even the motivational best sellers failed miserably.
Some of the sentences from the book really touched me. See a few below.

Have you ever read "Five People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom?

Unless you are cold and turned off completely it would be hard to read this book and not think. It makes you think wonder, and even though it is a fictional story you can not help but look at your own life and the lives of others around you differently.

Mine would be Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

My favorite inspirational book are Life's Greatest Lessons by Hal Urban and The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

The most inspirational books I've rea dwould have to be 'The Little Prisoner' and 'A Child Called It'. They taught me that life is too short to hide. If you have the chance to tell someone something important, don't put it off. Just do it. If you think it will makes things better, why wait?

"The Alchemist" by someone whose name I've forgotten. It's fiction, about a spanish shepherd boy who decides to chase his dreams, which include finding riches at the Egyptian Pyramids. He takes a rather circuitous route to get there, and the journey takes him many years, but basically the book says that when one chases his dream, the universe opens up a path for him. The way is made easy, and all things come together to help one on the journey.

I would have to say mine is Awaken the Buddha Within by Lama Surya Das...OR Letting Go of the Person you Used to Be also by Lama Surya Das..both are fabulous books IMO and they were very inspiring for me...

Nobody said the Bible? I tried to read it, but it was so long and I couldn't make any sense out of it.

But hundreds of millions can't be wrong...could they?

Oh yeah, "Atlas Schrugged" by Ayn Rand.

If you believe communism and socialism have merit, you won't like it. But if you're a fan of good old capitalism, give it a read. It's a good one, even for its monstrous number of pages.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been rumored to show interest in the making of the movie, but Angelina in the role of Dagny? Give me a break (politically speaking, that is).

Oh, yeah. Did anybody else who read Atlas Shrugged pick up a "Dagny is mysterious, Dagny is the perfect woman, all men love Dagny, Dagny is based on me" vibe from the author?
