That is a good idea. You will surely be of great help to one who must get to work and needs a helping hand with her child. Push through with it. I think your idea of putting up a flyer in your church will be just right.

I have babysat from my home for almost seven years (I just stopped last month). I think it's a fabulous way to earn some money as a stay at home mom and it helps provide our children with someone to play with as well. You could try posting a flyer at the schools in your neighbourhood or even just letting the principals know you are taking in children. This is a great way to get out the word. Also check with your state Dept of Children and Families. Most have a day care program in which you cna become state certiifed day care provider whether its for one child or a number allowed by the state.
They provide training and pay you for providing childcare to thier clients. Also they can sign you up for the food program where you make a menu in advance and they pay for the food you use for the children you provide care for and your own children.
This is a great way to earn extra money and to help out others who need a daycare services but would rather have a individual watch their child. ALso they refer you to other parents in your area.
