What do you always do while hiking?

I'd probably keep my eyes on the ground the whole way.. haha..

I don't want to end up in a ditch somewhere. But if I don't look at the ground in fascination, I'd probably sing softly; look around.. yeah.. That's probably it.

Well, in the summer months, myself and my partner go mountain hiking quite a lot. One of our favourite places is a Provincial park in BC, Canada that's actually sandwiched between two mountains. We hit the hiking trails up there quite a lot and we're always on the lookout for different wild animals.

We've seen bears, we've seen the most adorable little rabbit right on the trail itself that put on the most delightful show of rolling in the dust for the video camera, and I'm still desperately on the lookout for those Shy deers that I've been informed are there too.

A lot of our time up there is spent talking between ourselves and just enjoying the scenery around us. No matter how many times you go there and see the same things, they always look different.

While hiking.. we usually make fun of each other, like how we look or how we walk. Or just talk about things, anything we could think of. That usually happens when we are just starting the hike... in the middle of hiking, most of us are just quiet, trying to reserve enough energy to finish the hike! haha! after the hike.. endless stories about the hike or the previous hikes that we had done. Most of the time we just have loads of fun!

I live in the city and I can only hike like once a month. I just simple enjoy the view, sit on top of summit and relax. camping at night is really the most exciting part. drinking until you can drink no more. making fun of your friends

Dang! I'm glad I haven't run into you on the trails. I think if I heard somebody loudly repeating speeches I would think it was a crazy person and hide. Just kidding. But the best thing about hiking by yourself is that it is quiet. You can listen for birds and animals, and stop to look at anything you like.

I hike to enjoy nature. I love the peace and quiet. That's my time to destress and do alot of thinking. If someone is with me, we recap on the day's events or just talk in general.
