DWI drivers and punishment

Usually I would say that this is a good idea
However I have to look at my situation and wonder.
My husband and I only have 1 vehicle and it is registered in his name
He already has 1 DWI and if he were to get another DWI and they put that license plate on his van Then I would be driving around with our children having people look at ME as though I was the habitual offender
And what sort of embarrassment would my children incounter because of this?

I think that's a great idea! I knew of a guy who had two DUI's, he still drove around drunk. It's only a matter of time before he kills someone or himself. When I was growing up, a family that lived next to me all died because they were hit by a drunk driver. 2 parents and 3 kids burned to death, their truck caught on fire and the handles on the door were too hot for anyone to open. It was so tragic! The guy that hit them, it wasn't the first time he had been driving drunk. I think cops would check these people more routinely when they see those license plates. Sure it's incovenient, but injury or death is worse! I know the inconvenience, we have the same last name as a major drug dealing family in this valley, so when our plates get run, we sure as heck get pulled over!

I am all for it. It sounds like a great way to make people aware of a potentiol accident waiting to happen. I know if I saw one of those plates. I sure wouldn't try to pass. No matter how slow the person was driving.
