yes i believe. In catholic, images and idols of Jesus and Mama mary can help us feel that their presence is there. Even if there are just photos or idols made in stones, sometimes some people like praying in front of them.

The Bible says not to make any images or idols or anything, b/c when you pray in front of an idol or image, your love and devotion eventually goes to that image/idol and not the One to whom your prayers are directed. Why do you think no description is given of Jesus in the Bible? I have a lot of information on Catholicism that will just blow your mind, if you want me to give it to you. I'm not going to tell you without you wanting to know, though, b/c a lot of people have told me that I'm just a little too harsh. I've been working on that, though. hi pinay! im a pinoy! yes we do have way back in the Philippines. Now im in the US, my gf gave me this Perpetual Help booklet, I keep in my wallet. We use to keep representations of the Holy Family in our houses, right ( Filipino RC ). They represent our faith but that doesnt mean we are praying to this, we just reverend them. We adore who they are being represent. That is my belief and what was taught in class.

Our family is a Roman Catholic. There's always been images and sculptures of saint in our house. On the other hand, I had my early education to a Christian school. Some of the beliefs were different like worshiping the images and making sign of the cross. I was a bit confuse with my religion and what to believe. However, it stayed to me. I never worshipped images. I know God exists and I don't need an image of him just to picture out that I am speaking to him.

i am a born again christian thats why i dont patronage images of god because god has no form of anything that is why i pray on him by his spirit also....

No, I don't have any in my home. I don't believe in what they represent anyway..besides, I always felt uncomfortable worshipping statues or pictures. I always felt it was too impersonal, an indifferent way of praying to whatever you believed in.

People have different ways of praying, some kneel at the altar, some are closing their eyes,but whatever your ways in praying, it is the messeage of praying. About images of Jesus and Mary it is one way fo remembering the Lord, like when someone always bring a picture of his Gf or BF or husband or wife so that in order for them to always put in thier mind their love one, it is also the same with Jesu and Mary, If we kneel to their images it is one way of respecting them, just like respecting our love one.

No. Its idolatry to pray to those images. Its clearly stated in the bible that we should not make any graven images of anything in heaven or earth. God punished many generations of people, and even his own people the Israelites, God also punished beacause of idol worship.

I think we must be careful of idolotry
