Do you love your job?

For the benefit of those who can't answer this question, I've come up with a simple technique. Ask yourself, if you won a huge amount of money from the lottery, say $100 million, would you quit your job? Would you stop what you're doing? If you answer "no", congratulations! You're in a job/occupation that you love and that is rare. I got the idea for this technique when I heard the story of a lottery winner in the United States. He was working at a restaurant (I think he was a cook). He won a lot of money but to the surprise of many, he stayed on with his job. I admired him for that because most people I have encountered never stop complaining about their jobs. It really enlightened me on some career issues that I was having. It has helped influence some major decisions that I've made, and the result has been great. Now I'm pursuing my true passion and I shall never retire!

I would quit my job in a heartbeat . I hate it so much . It started off such a good job and as of lately , the thought of going to work makes me sick . Over half the people working with us are out on stress leave and just found out last night that even our boss is finding it really hard and wants out too . It isn't easy to find another job around here so I don't want to quit but if I didn't have to worry about the money , I would not be sticking around there at all .
