Clergy: Should women be allowed to be priests?

Yes, I believe that. Although I have no desire to become a priestess. . . however, in many ways, I think I already am!

In the baptismal liturgy it says we are "priests, prophtets, and kings". . .well, then, we already are priestesses. . .

I also believe women should be permitted into the diaconate.
Where I live, men studying to be deacons can't and won't be ordained unless their wives have also undertaken the complete course of study. They want to make sure the wives know what the ministry is. I have a friends whose wife's grades were better than his. . .but she couldn't be ordained into that ministry. . .

I also believe that clergy should be permitted to marry. I mean, we have married priests already. . .those priests who converted from other religions. . .There were Popes who had children (although there are many who will try to hide this part of our church's history). . .

I know of a priest (I don't know him personally, but have met him) who fathered a child. The woman agreed to accept child support from his religious congregation, but to never "bother" him again. . . .I mean, come on! It's not a sin to parent a child! It's a gift from God! True, people could have become parents in a more moral way. . .but to have his religious order "silence" the mother is, by far, the greater sin.

I'm rambling now. But, obviously, I've given these subjects some serious thought.

There is a written clause in the Canon Law of the Church which enforces, so the point on vatican reviewing this rule would never happen. Furthermore, Vatican has always and will always stick to the fundamental traditions. You should be glad that it's not canonical that one specific race of people can and must be priest. As it was for the Jews, only the Levities were only allowed to serve in the temple of God.
