Gaming Laptop or Low-end Laptop & Gaming Desktop?  email this discussion to a friend?

So I have been wanting to build a gaming computer, and I recently totalled my laptop so I need to replace that. My question is, should I buy a high-end gaming laptop, or a low-end laptop for mobile stuff and build a high-end desktop for gaming? Either way it will be around the same price from my estimates.

My limit is about $2300-$2500

I can build a gaming desktop for about $1500 or less, and buy a low-end laptop for $500-$800. So thats right at my limit.

I can buy a gaming laptop that is good enough for the games I want to play for about $1900-$2500. So again, about where my limit is.

I really only used my old laptop for surfing, programming, etc. Nothing that needs gaming hardware. I want somthing to game on, though, and getting a gaming laptop would be awesome, and nice for mobile gaming for LAN Parties and such, but the hardware wouldn't be as good as a gaming desktop.

I just don't know what to do, so I'm asking for help. Which would be better to do?

i would suggest that you build gaming desktop because laptop are not much durable as much a desktop are besides i do have a desktop but planning to laptop of Price of about 1550$ its Budget multimedia laptop. If you're not that interested in gaming, but you do want a laptop with good multimedia features, the HP Pavilion dv8000z uses a 2.2GHz single-core AMD Turion ML-40 processor with 2GB RAM and a huge 240GB hard drive. A TV tuner isn't included, but you can add an ExpressCard analog tuner and remote control for about $130 more. The 17-inch widescreen has 1440 x 900 pixels, too low for business users, but plenty for watching movies, sending email and surfing the web. For the money, you don't get the very latest video card, but you do get QuickPlay buttons for launching DVDs and CDs without booting into Windows.
