Donnie Darko  

I saw it a few years ago, after it had already been relased in the USA but nobody knew it in Italy. Some guy on Livejournal asked for a list of good movies to see and an user told him to download Donie Darko. I read about the giant bunny thing and I knew I had to see it. I got the movie, went to bed, turn off the lights and watched it on my laptop. I ended up crying by the end of the movie, even though I didn't quite get what happened. I then started to read and read about it, write on forum, read other theories concerning the plot and so on. Then watched it again and again and again, untill I bought the DVD. Later on, DD was relased in Italy with the tagline "rated among the 100 most beautiful movies in the history of cinema". People didn't like it much and I wanted to kill people, because I bet that most italians want to see a movie that is easy to understand. What is good about DD is the fact that you have to watch it with an active brain, think about what happens, connect facts and then get online and read more, solve the website to get to know why certain things happened. I love it, can you tell ? I now even own two DVD's :D
