The age-old zombie question.

I just read through the Zombie Survival Guide, and I was thinking, "what whould my loadout be?" The author made some very good points, but many of his opinions on weapon were a bit off. I'm sure this has been asked before, but whatever. A new survey won't hurt.

Longarm - Bolt-action rifle. Probably a KAR98. Powerful, accurate, rugged. Doesn't need as much maintainence as an automatic, and is easier to fix on the field.

Sidearm - Double-action revolver in .45 Long Colt. Big slug, good stopping power. Revolvers are more rugged and reliable than automatics. Low capacity shouldn't be a problem; in close-quarters I should be running anyway.

Melee - Crowbar. Solid, handy, and effective. Doubles as a tool and a rather nasty weapon. The Guide reccomends blades, specifically the machete, but blades are messy. Zombie blood and gunk is not good for you. there's also the chance on the blade getting lodged in a bone, and worse, snapping in half. Not good.
