| Timing belt on 1997 subaru outback 2.2  | | | |  We replaced the timing belt on my 1997 subaru outback, which has a 2.2, and the motor would not turn. the motor turned and the car started before the change. When we put the new belt on, the motor will only turn half way and stops. When we remove the belt, the motor turned just fine. Any Advise welcomed.

| |  I am only guessing here, but did you make sure that the timing belt was put on the correct way. You must line up the marks, so it will be correct. I you did this then I really do not know.
