When you go to these Festivals or Fairs what is the "Got To Have it food" that you eat there? Would the Fair be the same if that food wasn't there?

There is a fair that I go to in the fall that has HUGE caramel apples. I'm not even joking, they are so big I have no idea where they get the apples. They will also sometimes color the caramel so you can have purple or blue on the apples. Oh, and don't even get me started on all the toppings like nuts, chocolate chips, and M&Ms. Just thinking about it makes me happy. I also love snow cones that you can get at summer fairs and sometimes craft shows. I mean the ones where they shave the ice there and then you get to pick the flavor of syrup that they put on them. I also like to get cherry and blue raspberry. I'm not sure what I like more, the taste or how it can turn your entire mouth purple.

Every year at the state fair, we had to get corn on the cob, funnel cake, state fair fries (with salt and vinegar), and ice cream from the dairy cow building. I even love just the smells of all the fair food.

We have a large street festival in this town. There are probably 75 food vendors! I love to get a gyro with chicken, onions, green peppers, and ranch dressing! Of course I have to take a bite of my daughter's funnel cake!

We always end up having cheese on a stick. Yummy! We ususally just walk around fairs and look at things, and get some various fair foods. No rides or anything - they're very unsafe.

Oh man...I LOVE fair food. Most of it is so bad for you, but tastes so good. Every Columbus day weekend, in October I go to a fair in NH. Most of my "to do" list at the fair involved getting my fair snacks. Since I only get to fairs like this once a year, I figure it's ok to indulge. Not sure which is my favorite, but funnel cakes and those fried flowery onion things are the top two I think. Last year there was a new booth with fresh sweet potato chips, and those were pretty darn good. If there are no funnel cakes available, I will take fried dough as a substitute.

Well every fair and festival has some food stalls and these are always flooded, without these half of the charm of a fair vanishes and fair seems like a technical affair, not fun. Food stall is always associated with having fun and joy times.
