What's going on with the Predators???

At the All-Star break, the Preds looked invincible. They looked like they were going to be the team to beat for the Stanley Cup. They were riding high, winning important games, winning close games. They were doing everything a Stanly Cup winning team should do. Lately, though...arghhhh! They have been blowing leads late, giving up stupid goals and doing a better job of protecting the opponents goal than their own. They acquired Forsberg and I thought they were going to get back in Cup form, but he hasn't made any difference at all. They still can't beat their way out of a wet paper bag. Am I alone in feeling like we are headed for another first round exit? Is it time to start worrying yet, or can they turn this thing around?

I think that your team is just going through a slump, that most good and bad teams go through at some point in the season. I would not start to worry yet but if it continues much longer than I would be a bit concerned. I am sure Peter "The Great" will get them playing well again. Do not give up hope your team. I think they will turn it around.

Well, they've won two straight overtime battles; one with the Red Wings and one with the Blue Jackets. I can understand the first going to OT, but not the second. They actually had to beat the Jackets in a shootout. Thanks for the encouragement, though.

The Red Wings come to Nashville just hours after a 4-3 shootout loss to the Edmonton Oilers Friday night at Joe Louis Arena. That result was enough to give Detroit a one-point edge over Nashville for first place in the Central Division and Western Conference standings. The Predators can overtake the top spot with a win tonight.

Looks like they were able to get one last night. The Red Wings are tough and Forsberg comes up big. We have four more against them before the end of the season. I still think they need to step up bigger in the next few games to show they are ready to make a serious run at the Cup.
