Guatemala: Giant hole in the ground  |

 I just read in the paper about a giant hole in the ground that all of a sudden opened. 100 meters deep. Three people dissapeared into it. they believe it was caused by a fault in the sewar-system. Have you heard about this? You should really check it out - the fotos are horrendous. have you ever heard about anything like this before?

1.  KissThis (2636) | 3 years ago |  I actually hadn't heard about the giant hole opening up in Guatemala. I have heard about it happening in other places. Its kinda scary when you think about it. And pretty dangerous as well. I wonder if there is a way to make sure that something like this could be prevented or that we have a way to check to see where something like this could occur so that no one would lose their lives.

| teison2 (4765) | 3 years ago | Sounds like it should be possible to tell that these things might happen in advance. At least if it happens due to faults with the sewar system or things like that. If it is at all possible I hope someone gets a system up and running soon so that not more people lose their lives.

 Zorrogirl (769) | 3 years ago |  there are many near us. but i dont fear them as much as vacations. they predicted that hole years ago, and still the people went and built makeshift houses there. they were warned. they are monitoring the lakes and mines closely.
