Graduation gifts ideas?

I'd first try to observe my child and try to listen what he's looking for. In today's generation most kids are techies... they either go for mp3 players, game consoles or even scooters. Let them enjoy being a kid while it lasts. My parents gave me a necklace to mark my achievement but they also gave me a box of pre-owned comics to commemerate my being a kid. 14 is still young.

I'm not sure jewlery is the right idea for a boy who is 14. Although I don't know him. How about getting something engraved like a nice glass or mug. Something he can use for the rest of his life. Engrave it with his name and maybe his school or the date. Do you have a store called Things Remembered in Canada? they have lots of nice gifts and will do engraving for cheap.

Also, does he have anything he really likes. Perhaps tickets to a concert, if his parents would let that.

when i graduate from elementary, my parents gave a nice shoes and some cash too. they knew i wanted that nice shoes so badly. they let me choose the design and they bought it for me. they also gave me cash, because i might wanna buy something else too. i think you ought to figure out what the person likes or wants, then you can buy it for him.

I need some more details on what he likes. It's hard to say without some kind of interests he likes - to make it more personal and meaningful too.
