The best way to tackle stage fear is through enough practice.
Although there are dozens of important steps and techniques, here are a few of the most important to help you conquer or minimize a fear of speaking in public or prevent stage fear.
Speaking in public can be defined in many ways, including just speaking to two people or to many audiences. Speaking in front of hundreds or thousands is a bit more intimidating than speaking to a few, so start with two people. One small step may be giving a toast to a few friends while at dinner. Another little step, but hugely important, is just standing up and delivering your presentation standing instead of sitting.
Start with a small group of supportive people or, better, friends. This could include your family, or if that doesn't work for you
You also need to have enough pratice.Practicing helps you feel more comfortable. Being more comfortable produces better performance. Even the best speakers, who seem to have a natural gift of speaking in public, do not do very well when they do not know their material. A little practicing -- or better, a lot -- helps you work out kinks, especially when you have a supportive audience watching. Ask friends to watch you and offer you specific suggestions on how to improve your message or delivery.
Also, you can practice it by yourself everyday, just imagine you were your idol, you start to imitate him in front of the mirror, imagine you were speaking on the stage with a lot of audience, mimic the body languages of your idol and speak up loudly, when times go by,you will be more and more confident in speaking up in the public.

It requires a long preparation and practice to perfect your speech. But when it is an impromptu or on-the-spot speech, we really can't avoid it, especially when we are not used to speak in front of many people. But as time goes, by, we can improve ourselves.

this is common in most of us. we are always afraid becouse we fear that we may forget or we may skip some thing.
i dont think i am afraid now a days as in my school every day i have to go in front of the whole school and give a news reading. so now i am acquainted with this stuff.
the best thing we should do to avoid stage fear is not to learn what we are going to speak. yes u heard correct not to learn , if we learn and if during the speech you forger a single word u will probably spole the whole speech. so its better to have a good read. have 3 to 4 readings. then the important part mark some key words on which the whole point stands. remember this before going to the stage. so u won't have to remember a lot and thankfully less words to forget.
while giving the speech think of the key words speak as far as possible in your own words.
this means u are lesslikely to forget ur speech
and ur speech will also be in the right sequence.
one important think do not look to the eyes of ur spectators.
do practice a lot befor trying this as i dont think in the first attempt u will be able to do this.

I have stage fright really bad. When I get in front of people to talk to them, I get really nervous. I was teased throughout school and was raised in a very strict home. I was to be pretty much seen and not heard. I think that is one of my biggest problems now, with not being able to speak openly and freely. I have tried to overcome that fear in my adult years, but it isn't working very well. I think I am scarred for life with stage fright. My self esteem must have been drawn to low for me to overcome it.
