TMJ...anyone suffer from this disorder?  | |  I have been suffering with TMJ for a few years now. It got really bad last summer after I had a tooth removed..I was in severe pain for months even after I had my doctor give me an injection into my jaw.
I have been ok for the last several months but just had a flareup about a month ago...it's been pretty rough living with this condition again.
Anyone else have this? What do you do to live with and ease the pain?

I do take Aleve...the bad thing is my insurance doesn't cover TMJ. I had to pay $750.00 cash the last time I was treated. I am currently out of work because of this TMJ.

I take nsaids and sometimes I will put cold packs on my head. Sometimes eating something cold like ice cream slowly helps.
