I'd never trust my kids to the day care system in my area. That's why I don't work. If you can find a reliable sitter or day care, maybe going to work part time would work for you. After being home with my boys for 2 years, I think the guilt of going back to work and missing their milestones, and overall day to day activities would eat at me. I honestly don't know if I could do it. More power to anyone who can.

| 2. lisettelovebug (2) | 3 years ago | I am also a stay at home mom. I quit my job when my daughter was 4 months old. You can try several things to make money from home. If you look around the internet you can find writing jobs for magazines, blogs, etc. You can also do mystery shopping. This is what I do. I don't make a lot of money, but any extra helps and I can bring the kids with me. I made over $200 from the end of October to the end of December. That's not bad considering I spent probably 12 or so hours total doing them. (and didn't have to pay for a sitter). Here's some sites that are reputable: www.shopnchekshopper.com www.mysteryshops.com www.experienceexchange.com You may also want to put in an add in a local paper and see if anyone needs a sitter. This way you could still make some extra money and be home with your child. Hope some of this helped. Lisette

3. maria_k (652) | 3 years ago | The trend now is to share revenues with members, so literally there are hundres of sites that will pay for either read email, participate in discussion such as mylot here or play games. I've started making money online now for 7 months and have compiled a list of sites that will pay you at www.smallcash.com . From my experience I like Zotspot a lot. It's a search engine just as google. From my work I have to search on average 10 searh/day and making around $2.00/month. It not that much but if you have some friends or knowing someone just like. You give them the link and all of you can make some money. The beauty of it is Zotpost pays you the full not just percentage. Another one is www.apairof.com/index.php?ref=mkinara . The payout is $1.00. You can reach that in several days and they are very good in paying. If you really want to stay home and work you'll need an entrepreneur attitude. Treat it as your own company. You're going to work for yourself. So, you will need somebody for your downline. Start to give out link to your friends and family- but not to some one in the same house with you . That will consider as cheating. Read the FAQ carefully. I believe you'll be able to make money. Good luck!

| 4. cmommy3 (40) | 3 years ago | I worked outside the home until my oldest was 4. I have been "home" about 8 years now! I was a teacher, and my husband was in school finishing a degree. I was being a good mother by making sure my child could eat! However, whenever the opportunity to stay home came, I took it, even though I loved my job. I remember sitting in the teachers' lounge and hearing women saying how they regretted that they couldn't stay home when their children were young. No one ever said that they were sorry they stayed home. Every decision we make comes with a cost. For us, the loss of my income really wasn't all that much when we factored in the cost of child care, fast food, clothes, etc. Plus, the crazy schedule that we were having to keep up with was contributing to stress in our home. Making the choice to stay home cost my income, but we feel that the rewards for us were priceless. Great mommies work, too, but for our family that did not work for us. I have found other ways to work for less time, and bring home the same amount, or close to it if you do the math( subtract for day care, gas, etc) working part time at my church, or teaching private lessons. Find something that you enjoy and are good at. Don't feel guilty if you must work! Babies need to eat! But, if you only need a little extra, count the cost! You may be surprised to find ways to do this more efficiently.

| 5. netizen2007 (52) | 3 years ago | I am not mom or dad. But I earn from my home by selling different products on internet by joining Affiliate Program. Now days, I am teaching this to my Aunt. She is a home mom.
It's not easy but not impossible either. You need to learn HTML and other internet marketing things. It will take time who has no idea about HTML, websites, domain names.
There are enough Free information on internet. Here are few links to learn HTML:
http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_intro.asp http://www.htmldog.com/ http://www.html.net/tutorials/html/introduction.asp
After learning little HTML, you can learn little SEO (search engine optimization) and internet marketing. Here are few links:
http://www.searchengineforums.com/ http://www.webmasterworld.com/
Then you can promote any affiliate program. Keep learning and earning from your own home.
Best of luck:)

7. royal52gens (3294) | 3 years ago | When my children were small, I stayed at home for 13 years. I earned money by selling Avon. Then the children got old enough and I took a part-time job. I also earn money on the internet. If you can stay at home and earn a little money on the side, then do it. Enjoy your children when they are little. They grow up so fast and you do not want to miss a second of it. Take lots of pictures also. Capture all those wonderful years since they will pass very quickly.
