 my son has been to rehab unsuccessfully several times. He is 21 and last being a 6 month program. He was court ordered to Memphis. A cityof very predjudice gangs...drug city..from my point of view. He lasted longer than I could have. However, he is clean I think, but he came home because he simply took all he could. He was very weiry, scared and very thin. He and our family are not predjudice at all, he is a tin white country boy and was in the middle of hood in Memphis, Tn. Always horrassed, cursed at etc. A drug counselor from our county recommend a Christian based center in Ootlewah, TN ...Mountain??? not sure, she said it was great! seeking info on programbased on faith. We are a Christian family, however, since his addiciton, he seems so unworthy of CHrist love. What do you suggest

1.  sedel1027 (12392) | 4 years ago |  uld go with the counselors’ suggestion. He needs to be in a program away from the family to learn how to be clean and deal with his issues on his own to he can come back to you more healthy and strong then he is now.
I am not saying send him away and not stay in contact - that is not the case. Even though he is in the program he needs to know that you support him 100%.
As far as him being "unworthy" of Christ’s love, I grew up in a Christian family and I was taught that we are not to judge who is or is not worthy of Christ’s love. Christ does not turn his back on any of his children no matter how far they stray. If you son still believe in the Christian way and he find out that you are questioning his worthiness of Christ’s love, he will rebel against you and feel abandoned.

4.  happygal68 (2583) | 4 years ago |  Search for a Narcotics Anonymous group and have him attend. They will work with him to help him stay clean & sometimes ppl find their way back to Christ through these programs.

and put him in the first position, yes, before christ and god.

Read the lives of the saints and then tell me if your son isn't worthy. The saints led very sinful lives but because God led them to Jesus Christ and because there is such a thing as grace, they led very producted lives after they repented. Get your son into therapy. He needs help and lots and lots of love.
