What nickname do you use for your television remote control?

Clicker here as well. Funny, I remember the first time we got a color TV. My older brother and I watched for two hours before we even realized it was in color. Our parents actually had to ask if we noticed anything different. The remote control only had 5 buttons as well, and was round on the bottom so it almost rolled. What was that all about, a round remote control?

We just call it the 'remote'. Simple enough I know. I let my hubby use it mostly cause it let's him believe he has some power at least...like he is in control of something...LOL.

Heeheehee.. Wen I was young, m yother had a rather early invention in the bedroom. It was a squeeze ball with a long tube that looked like aquarium tibing, which ran to a box between the tv plug and the outlet. When she wanted to turn the tv on or off, she just squuezed the ball.

My father liked to say that when my mother got tired, she squeezed his ball, which I did not get at all at the time especially since my mother always told us the ball was hers.

I call it a remote, my husband calls it the convertor. My daughter is more formal..

too many channels to choose from, i call it a 'surfer'.

my wife calls it 'mine'

she always wins and on come the soaps!

i call it the 'liquidiser!'

too much telly frys the brain! let us break away and eat mushrooms instead!!

When I was a kid my parents called the remote a "flipper" and strangely enough they still do! When my mom came to visit over our Thanksgiving here in Canada she asked where the flipper was. My hubby and I always call it a remote though!

Hi:)Well,hahaha,i call it a "flicker" like hurry up and flick the channel!!I dont want to watch swim suit edition!Hahaha.Its mostly called the flicker or remote.

You had such a high tech remote. I had the big brown box for years that didn't click but was more of a ka-thunk. But it was way better than getting up to change the dial that only had 9 channels, well 8 because the french channel didn't count. I finally got one without a long wire attached to the tv but the volume button didn't work on my 25 year old 13 inch black & white.
Four years ago I bought my first new 20 inch color tv with remote. It has all these cool buttons, but the only ones I use are volume up/down, channel up/down and power. I am the only flipper in the house so they don't let me have the remote much and when I do snag it everyone groans.
I just call it a remote because I am too lazy to add control and lack creativity to come up with any other name.
