If you saw someone drop money ..like 100 dollars and they didnt know... |
|
If you saw someone drop 100 dollars on the ground and they didnt know they dropped it would you return it to them..or would you pick it up and keep it..thinking it's there bad luck and your good luck?
I myself would return it..I had something similar happen..A man lost his check and I happened to find it..it had more than 100 dollars and several thousands..
I never saw the man again...but my conscience sure felt good:)

It's not about bad luck or karma unless that's really your belief, but it's about common consideration for the situation of another human being, If the same thing happened to you, wouldn't you be grateful if the one who saw it returns the money to you? Beleive me, that act of kindness will be returned to you a hundred fold.

3. cvaughn570 (296) | 3 years ago | This has happened to me many times, especially in stores when people are paying for their purchases. They are trying to rush and drop some of the money. I never know how much is there because I just say, excuse me you just dropped some money and they thank me and go on their way. You never know how hard someone may have had to work for that money and it would not be the fair or right thing to do because it is not yours and you did not earn it.(Not meaning you of course, just trying to make a point)Obviously you feel the same way, but I am sure there are some who would take the money and run, so to speak. I always try to remember that whatever I do to someone else, good or bad, will come back to me 10 times more than what I did.

4. humbleme (433) | 3 years ago | Ofcourse I will immediately alert that person and return back his 100 dollars,as it can happen with me as well when I am absent minded on roads for any reason, and if I find a active cheque and couldnot find anybody,I will visit the nearest police station and hand it over with a four line letter with my contact detailes as I had done it myself, and that person came to my house after two days and we are very good friends now.

6. baby88 (375) | 3 years ago | to be honest, i will give it back to the owner. when i was young, i was taught not to keep whatever which is not yours..i have an incident which is a few years ago when i lost my wallet n end up it was returned back to me by an uncle a few days after that. the uncle told me that he came to know my address from my IC which is inside my wallet. i was so grateful that time n wat i know is keep on saying"xie xie""xie xie"!!which is mean thank you in chinese!and also from there i realised if someone lost their belonging, they will just as anxious as like how i lost my wallet.

8. joby_09 (407) | 3 years ago | You should return it. it is your responsibility to do so. if that happened to you, you would also like others to return it to you, right? Remember, "don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you." It's a cliche, but it the righteous and responsible thing to do. You may not know, that person badly needs the money and by returning it to him, you have helped him a lot. Isn't that a nice feeling?=)

| 10. fairweather (64) | 3 years ago | At first I would think of keeping it. After all, 100$ is a lot of money. I would be able to enjoy it without thinking about how hard it was to earn that sort of money but ultimately my conscience would get the better of me and I would return it. After all I was brought up with all these lessons from childhood.
