2.  gardengalz (1778) | 3 years ago |  I didn't hear about that, scary. I usually buy peanut butter from the natural food store. It doesn't have preservatives in it so I keep it in the fridge so that it doesn't go bad. I love my peanut butter so I hope that this doesn't affect other brands as well.

I never like the tast of Peter Pan or the cheap imitations like Great Value I am glad I don't like the kinds that salmonella were found in! It seems like salmonella has been showing up in a lot of foods anymore nothing is completely safe.

I did have a jar of the recalled Peter Pan that my sister gave me and I had used some for Christmas cookies. A few of us had slight stomach aches for a few days but that was all. Not knowing what it might have been, we are grateful that's all that happened. I threw out the rest of the jar.
