what's the difference between "Today's top discussions" and "today's hot topics"  |

Means the discussions started by the users who have top work of today or the number of responses and discussins started by them is on the top as compared to the other users.
and
"today's hot topics"
means the discussions which have been responded maximum by the users, that is the discussions which have so many or maximum number or responses recieved till the time you clicked on to.
You please two separate windows and click on these two options without any seconds delay you can very well see the thing which I have expalained.

"today's top discussions"
- refers to the discussions posted by the TOP USERS for the day. (Top users refers to the members who has the most number of posts made.)
while
"today's hot topics"
-refers to the discussions that has the most number of responses within the day.
(regardless if this was posted by the TOP USERS)
If this really the difference, i think mylot should rephrase either of the titles because they are often confused to be the same.=)

Top discussions inculdes discussions of importance which may not be HOT.
whereas hot discussions can include the top discussions.
