For concerned parents… Do you have a key-logger in your kid’s computer? |
| |
| I saw many discussion about how concerned parents are about their kids misusing internet so I thought about helping them out. To all those parents, who want to keep an eye on their children’s activities on internet then i think key-logger is the best solution. Fumbling with history is now an old way of spying on your kids. Nowadays most of our children know about this thing so what they do is, they just delete all the internet files and the cookies. I think all the parents should have key-logger in their children’s computer. This program is so amazing that you can have all the information that you need to know without even letting your kids know about it. You can hide it’s icon so your kids will never know. And the best thing is you can get hold of their passwords and each and everything they typed. I know the kids are going to hate me forever but it’s for their own good. If they are doing something which is not acceptable then they should be stopped instantly. If you know about this and using it then tell me how it helped you in bringing up your kids in a better way? | | | | | |

| | well there should be a key logger for concerned parents but it is not a very effective or good idea as it can be fooled easily with random keys etc . but the best part would be to have an index.dat file reader as it stores absolutely all the pages visited on the computer . | | | | | | |

| | You are right. These days kids are more computer literate, they know in fact more than adults. However, you have just got to be a administrator of your computer at home - that is, do not allow them to delete or install any program in the computer, only administrator can. You have to keep the password and change every now and then. There is a way to setup your computer such that no one is able to 'extra' things other than you. Take a look at www.microsoft.com or search 'how to manage your computer' at google search | | | | | | |

| | I have not become a parent myself. However, I would feel very offended if my parents do not trust me enough to leave my computer without a keylogger. A PC should remain a PC literally - a PERSONAL computer. So I guess I need to remember that when I become a parent in future. :P | | | | | | |

| | Any parent knows that you have to watch where you child goes and what they do online these days. The problem is that parents are not always around to monitor children and not all passwords are secure. A new product called KidSafe uses a USB token that works with the Windows logon system. With the KidSafe key installed, the PC is usable, but without the key in the system, you cannot access the PC at all. The PC does not have to be on a domain to use the KidSafe key, the device uses strong RSA encryption, and there are online key management services in case the key is lost or damaged. Even safe mode booting is disabled when using KidSafe. | | | | | | |
