Karma

I believe that it means fate or bad/ good acts being followed by an appropriate fate.

I'm pretty sure it comes from Buddhism.. And yeah it's basically like, have you ever heard 'What goes around, comes around.'

I guess you could think of as if you say, donated money to charity, one day something nice will happen to you. If you stole something, one day something will be taken from you.

Though the real Buddhist karma also ties into the whole re-incarnation thing. Most Buddhists are vegetarians, respect for all living things. Maybe your next life will be that of a cow at the slaughterhouse.

It's hard to say I guess seeing as a good action can be bad too depending how you look at it. Say you made a non-profit charitable organization to help people. But at the same time, your funding was taking from someone else's funding, and hurt them in that way. All I mean is any action affects many different people.

So I guess you just have to do what you think is right, and even if you hurt people indirectly, that was never your intention.
