HDD: Seagate/Samsung, Monitor: Samsung/ViewSonic, Speakers: Creative/Artis, Headphone: Iball/Creative, Keyboard-Mouse: Microsoft/Samsung/Logitech, Optical Drive: Samsung/Sony, Motherboard: Intel/Gigabyte, Processor: Intel/AMD
Did i miss anything.... The brand given are best manufacturers. The choice while purchading depends upond product availability and budget.

hard drive - Seagate
processor - Intel Core2Duo family
motherboard - Asrock
RAM - Crucial
Monitor - Acer
DVD drive - LG
Keyboard - Microsoft
Mouse - generic optical
Router/moden - Netgear
OS - XP Pro (Vista is a waste of money at present)
