learning disability: Any Cure?

I have a friend who claims to have a learning disability. I didn't have much idea bout it so I searched the net for any hint of truth on this surprising news. I was really surprised because of all the people I know, she really excelled in school. It was just now that I learned she was having difficulty learning new concepts. By the way, I got a lot of facts about this disease, if it's called that, and found out that it's genetic. But it won't tell if there's any available medication or treatment. Do you know any idea how treat my friend? I'll highly appreciate your concern.
