Southern India has many recipes from the grandma's kitchen which are truly wholesome and healthy. Breakfast comprising of Idlis(a mixture of urad dal and rice grounded to a paste and poured into special containers and cooked in steam make a diet devoid of cholesterol or other harmful ingredients.
