Smart Homes? Anybody got one? Who wants one?  | |  Smart Homes are houses that are controlled by computers, where lights can be turned on/off/dimmed via any room or even over the internet. Where everything is automated so that you wake up and the kettle is already on...
Has anybody seen a smart home or even live in one?
And more importantly do you want one?I personally would love to live in a house that has a touchscreen computer at every door so that I can monitor the entire house. Would need to rob a bank to afford it, as they are not cheap.

I think you'd have to rob more than one bank to afford that kind of house. They are ridiculously expensive. It'd be nice to wake up and the kettle is on but they have these coffee pots that you can set on timer so it'll be ready when you wake up. That's one of the things that is similar to a smart house in a way.
