1. Phlamingho (7359) | 3 years ago | I think it's a very barbaric and primitive sport. I'm not really a fan. I prefer tennis, that's a great sport.

2. bluewings (2393) | 3 years ago | When I think about the aggression involved, then it definitely seems the most violent sport, but I won't go so far as to tag it a barbaric sport because we have wrestling and other martial art fights. Then again, some adventure sports are more dangerous than boxing.I don't know if,in future we will see some rule changes or protection for the eyes to make it less dangerous.I can't quite picture how it will be,but everything evolves and this too might.

bluewings (2393) | 3 years ago | I've seen some that got really bad.I just hope they evolve the game because I know they will not get rid of any sport that has become a money churner and involves betting at such a large scale.

3. zatoichi2080 (2869) | 3 years ago | Well,I like this sport but I think it's so violent . All this hits in the head cause unrepairable damage for sure to the brain . But,that's what they wanna do and some of them know and learn how to protect themselves . Those who come here not seriously will have serious probs like ko etc .

4. oslovibes (138) | 3 years ago | It might sound like a generalisation but when violence is presented as entertainment it certainly seems to have all the elements of barbarism.
something to be noted:though both martial arts and boxing have to do with physical combat it is unlikely that for example karate or capoeira would be described as barbaric. the elements that differenciates them? possibly self-discipline,in-depth cultivation and education..

5. Makoy1983 (966) | 3 years ago | its not barbaric, its physical.. boxing is a sport, so it is bound by rules to protect the fighters. though in the long run, it would really have side effects after being beaten up for most of your career

graham31 (249) | 3 years ago | yeah it might have rules but that dosn't stop boxers geting hurt in the ring and sometime being made disable.I remember one fight between Enbank n Watson,Watson ended up in a wheel chair because of the beating he took in the ring and to this day he still is.Thats not sport!

| 6. deejaycmos (35) | 3 years ago | boxing is a contact sport.. just like wrestling, taekwondo, etc. they just have to be more strict at their judging, determine when to stop a fight.
