Bright light

I live in Ohio. For about 2 months now, there has been a very bright light in the western sky at night. Is it a star? Is it a planet? I know that it isn't a plane. It doesn't move and it is there every night. Can anyone tell me what this is?

I live in Ohio too. I have noticed a bright light outside my window a night. I hadn't paid attention to it. I will keep an eye on this discussion and hopefully you will get your answer. My guess is that it is a planet.

I think it's a planet. Then again, it maybe a star. Keep watching, if at some point it disappears then it's a planet..at least I think it is. =)
