Other Celestial Bodies | | Some other celestial bodies in the Solar Systems r comets, asteroid & meteorites. These r the celestial bodies remaining from the nebula in which Solar System originated four to six billion years ago.
Comets r made up of condensed gases & dust. Sometimes, their orbits bring them closer to the sun. As the comet approaches the sun, its surface starts evaporating bcus of the heat.
This evaporation causes a bring light. A huge ball of gas & dust appears around the nucleus. This ball of gas & dust appears around the nucleus.
This ball of gas & dust is called a "coma". Also, there is a tail of gas & dust related to this coma.
Meteors r rocky objects in space. Usually, they r observed in between the orbits of Mars & Jupiter. In some cases, the diameter of meteors may b as much as 1000kilometres (620 miles)
Meteorites r solid bodies which fall to Earth from outer space. Pieces of rock, or mixtures of rock & iron detach themselves from meteors & comets. Sometimes when Earth passes thru the dust cloud remainin from a comet, for example, the objects within this dust cloud burn in atmosphere.
THey heat up when they enter Earth's atmosphere & leave a fine line of light in the sky. This is called a meteor. Sometimes, when they dont burn completely, meteors strike the Earth. These meteors that reach Earth r called aerolites or meteorites.
Consider one important point here:
Meteors that reach the atmosphere occasionally fall on Earth. When they fall, the destruction they cause varies according to their size. Our Earth is vulnerable to such a threat at every moment, but our Lord has created these celestial bodies is such a way that they r usually burned & destroyed in the atmosphere & thus r no danger to us.
This shows Allah's mercy & compassion for us as well as the protection He provides us.
U must now hav grasped that Allah has control over all celestial bodies, whether huge or small, & governs them all at every moment in a planned & orderly manner.
