What do you think about the new Fox and the Hound Film?

The Fox and the Hound is a classic tale of friendship prevailing over all else - it has a strong message to make and it makes it very well. There is now a follow up film - cleverly called The Fox and the Hound 2 (how original). I haven't seen the film but I doubt it will come anywhere close to being as good as the first film. What do you think? Anyone who's seen both films, please compare the two.
