What are career prospects in Event Management?  

I own my own Event Promotion company. We specialize in getting radio airplay for unsigned bands and musicians, however we do host live events such as concerts, sporting events (cage fighting and wrestling), comedy shows and any other sort of live entertainment. Organization is key, but so is being a people person - I have to co-ordinate my efforts with a lot of different vendors and personalities for each event. And I need to be a bit of a salesperson too. It can be very lucrative - but you have to know how to price events and still make back everything you put in, plus profit hopefully. Not a job/career for the faint of heart, the scatter brained or poverty striken - it does take money to make money.
