Though I'm not a citizen of this country I enjoyed reading these facts Misty :)This is a very interesting comparison of statistics and it does make us wonder we've come a long way till now. Milk was $0.36 cents back in 1915? Woweeee..I wish I had lived in that era..lol

Ok, I remember going to the store for my mom when I was younger and could get milk, bread and cigarettes for $1...we can't get any of those items for even $1 today...they all cost more than that $1...times change so much!

These are some really cool facts.

The housing prices and the gas prices I thought were among the most interesting.

The salary and name information were also interesting..Jacob and Emily...talk about old standards --- I guess what comes around goes around. I prefer them to the more recnt popular method of invent your own unique name.

I always found it tough when I was naming my kids. I never went for the so called popular names and used the old standby's although I named my first daughter Rhonda after the Beach Boys song Help me Rhonda and she hates it to this day...lol...my middle daughter is named after her Godmother and is also my mom's middle name. My son's name I just picked out of nowhere...

Thanks for this.
How very interesting this entire list is. I'd be interested to see one for my country, Australia and even us compared to the US.
Too much to comment on everything. Well done!

You can find that information on your country by just doing a search on Australia census statistics. You'll end up with a lot of information too.

Some interesting facts there .. pretty much similar things happening here in the UK ... and as time goes by whatever the changes in generally they are happening faster and faster ...

myLot reputation of 91/100. mistymornster (1786)  5 years ago

Your right, the changes happen so fast that I can't keep up with them. The rising cost of everything seems to happen within months of each other. To bad our incomes didn't go up at the same time! lol
