|  For all of you that responded in disgust (and even those with encouragement) to my previous discussion about getting rid of the new dog. I have decided to keep trying. Sometimes she gives me this look with those little sad eyes. I just can't do it! I can't take her back now. Forget that I was feeling like a failure. She actually has gotten into my heart already. So I sat the kids down, my daughter didn't really comprehend much, and explained that we are keeping the dog. My son was happy about this, he was upset about taking her back. I told him he is going to get a little more responsibility with the dog and I am sure that is going to help my sanity. Just wanted to let you all know.

| | I tell you, we have ahd for about 3 weks. I got her from the animal shelter. We have definitely had our ups and downs with this one. I have my fair share of dogs growing up but this one takes the cake. I think we will get her calmed down some though. Pray for me! lol | | | |

Hank was a Rotty cross with something stupid.
With Hank he was a handful. No, he was an armful... maybe he was a truck load.
Anyway, he ate funiture. He tore up the lino floor. He ate under wear and socks. He would eat the henry bars out of the cat box.
We changes his name to Hankenstien. He was a monster. I finally told my wife get rid of him before I kill him with my bare hands.
So she found a lady who insisted that she knew how to deal with this dog and wanted him so badly. Hankenstien was hers.
She never did stop eating poop, but he finally died of lead poisoning after running the guy's horses while they were in the corral.

| |  I have a 3 year old lab mix that is a wonderful dog, and a 5 month old who knows what he is besides adorable mix we adopted right before the holidatys from a shelter. Not a day goes by when I don't want to send him back. But I don't because I accepted the responsibility. Brady is a terror. He chews everything in sight, gets on counters, etc..He even got in my hubbys wallet and ate his license and debit card but left everyhting else untouched. What I keep telling myself is he wan't be a puppy forever, and eventually he'll turn into a wonderful dog like Sandy is, I hope. LOL I'm glad you decided to keep her.

We went out one day and the dog got bored or something and ate FIVE remotes. Five of them.
She ate the TV remote, the satellite remote, the VCR remote, the DVD remote and an All-in-one remote.
I could have killed her with my bare hands. That was expensive to replace those. | | | |
