My sons are always thanking me for the way they were raised, now that they had sons of their own. Do you find that to be true in your life

My sons don't actually thank me in so many words but they shower me with little gifts from time to time and they will also phone to see how I am. I suppose this is their way of saying thank you, and I must admit that I am very proud of how they have grown up.

now that I have moved on and out of my parents' house, i can definitely understand that phenomenon. i have gotten closer to my mom now that i don't live at home and i am married myself. i understand more of what she did for me growing up and everything that she provided for me. i've grown to understand a lot more of the things her and my father did while i was growing up. i call her almost every other day, sometimes just to say hi or get a cooking tip or to talk about other things. she and i have a great relationship.

Have you ever heard the terms "Momma's Boys" and "Daddy's Little Girls?" This happens all the time in healthy, balanced famalies. A man learns what he wants his wife to be from watching his mother all of his life and A woman wants a man like her father. They are our first heros and the most important persons in our lives, while growing up.
