Do SAD SONGS make you cry?  

I have always been very effected by music. Yes, sad song can/do make me cry.
But I also know that music can have a very positive effect. I have found when I have unpleasant chores to do I put on gospel music. I find I can do anything while singing praises to the LORD.

I think songs are really good at helping us get into the mood - whether bright or gloomy. :P

They are good at tugging at the emotional chords in us and I particularly enjoy listening to sad song. Yea... sad person typing here...

I think you would only cry if you are in a sad mood yourself, and the song plays *coincidentally* in the background, and then you break down. :(

I too am a fan of sad songs, even when they make me tearful. My dad used to sing quite a lot of sad songs and whenever I hear them I get very melancholy. One of my favourites is "Pal of my Cradle Days" and I feel the words are very true. I sing it so often that now my grandchildren are starting to sing it and it actually makes me happy to listen to them.

Yeah, I have felt this many times. In fact personally I feel, god has gifted this ability of crying just to humans, what it would have been, if we never able to cry. I enjoy the sorrow and the lightness of heart when you are crying. I like listening to my favourite sorrow number, sing along and cry. Think I am mad? maybe I am, I don't know.

I don't easily cry when I heard a sad song. But I can cry like a baby when I watch a sad movie. Some sad songs may give me a feeling of nostalgia. Reminiscing about a certain point in your life where the song was played.

yes!! i do cry when listening to sad songs especially when im alone. and it feels good to cry while listening to music because it relieves the tension building up inside of me. It's like i remember my problems and the things that are bugging me then i just cry. after the song ended i'll repeat it again but it creates a different effect the second time around. :)) i guess listening to sad music if my way of expressing myself.

Yes, I always cry when I listen to some really emotional song, depicting some really emotional situation.

I recall when I was watching a movie on patriotism and there was a song depicting feelings of a mother when she comes to know that his beloved some is died in plane crash. The song is very very beautifully composed and sung that you can't stop tear coming out of your eyes.

oh! yes! my fiend I do too,, I cry when my friends send me sad emails with pictures and music ( you know the kind I mean ) lovely words and sad music, I even cry at the TV , my hubby keeps saying " they are only acting" but I just can't help it xx

I may not want to admit this but I'm very sentimental...hu hu hu! Songs do make me cry. One song in particular I can't help crying over is the song of Josh Groban entitled 'To Where You Are'. The words just pull at my heartstrings and I just cant help it. I also feel like crying everytime I hear the song 'Tears In Heaven'.

i do cry after listening to sad songs especiaaly songs that i could relate too .......
music has that extra impact on me whether it be in happy times or sad. somehow i get carried away wen i hear any good composed song...............
