|  I like a lot Ronnie James Dio way of singing. His voice is really great! I know he was the singer in a a lot of bands... Giuffria, Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio. Can you list the best albums he did? I'd like to buy some of them but the choice is so difficult...

Blackmore's Rainbow
Long Live Rock & Roll
I think it was only those two albums he did with Rainbow.
Two albums with Blakk Sabbath that I know of are:
Heaven And Hell
Mob Rules
The only album I have by him as a solo career is Holy Diver. Favorite off that is Rainbow In THe Dark.
Hopefully, Mike (We both know him as Lewah.) will see this & give more information.

| |  Hi there, yes K.K. these two albums you mention by Rainbow are very good, i also have that double live record called On Stage from 1977 wiich i like listening the most. It includes a real great live perforance from the song Catch The Rainbow which takes half of one records side, i love that.
I also would say that Heaven and Hell & Mob Rules are his best in Black Sabbath, the live record Live Evil from ´82 i have is also worth buying. From Dio i sure would get Holy Diver which contains great songs. I don´t have these two but i know Last in Line/Dream Evil are also good albums he made. The one i personaly like best is Lock Up The Wolves (1990), thinking on that record i remember back on that very young great talentet guitarist from England who sent a demo tape to Ronnie and after two autitions he was joining the group in 1989. His name is Rowan Robertson that time age 18, so wow a dream became true for him. I also think he did a great job on that album, i wonder what he is doing now, have to look that up in the net.
But comming personaly to Ronnie yes i agree on you Layney that guy had a great voice and was very importent for the music in hard-rock, he must be round 60 now, wow. Here is a personal video on youtube showing Ronnie in his studio also you see Rowan Robertson the young sideman, have a see.

those two albums were incredible.
the best of the solos i think are-holy diver,intermission(which i think has the extra verse in heaven and hell),last in line,dream evil,sacred heart.
lock up the wolves is supposed to be good also.

| | Well Ronnie James Dio has done alot(I mean alot) I have alot of his albums I have Blackmore's Rainbow, Rising & Long Live Rock N Roll they are from his Rainbow days I have Heaven and Hell, The Mob Rules & Dehumanizer(from his Black Sabbath days) & I also Have Holy Diver, The Last In Line, Dream Evil, Killing The Dragon & Magica which are from his solo career. He also has a band called Elf which you should be able to download of the internet somewehere if you look hard enough they are kinda jazzy music totally different from what he does now. He also has a new album coming in april(around that time) with the band Heaven and Hell which is the band Black Sabbath except it's called Heaven and Hell so it won't mix up with the old black Sabbath. If you are looking for the best of Dio I'd recommend getting Long Live Rock N Roll, Heaven and Hell, Holy Diver, Magica & Master Of the Moon (i have 2 songs of that album and they are my favourite dio songs). Ronnie James Dio is a legend especially when he's with guitarists Tony Iommi & Ritchie Blackmore simply perfect music! ! ! Good luck with that! ! !

| |  Ronnie wasnt a singer/vocalist in Giuffria. Actually the guitarist Craig Goldy who, was guitarist on Dream Evil, Magica, Kiling the Dragon and Master of the Moon albums by the Dio band which, I reccommend all.
I also reccommend all his Rainbow albums, All his sabbath albums, All his band Dio albums and The Devil You Know by Heaven & Hell... as a Matter of fact, there isnt a bad album he has done, no matter how successful they have been.
