 Sometimes it is hard to think that someone you
love dearly will soon leave you forever.
Well, it happened to me.
On August 12, 2005, the day when my family were
supposed to be rejoicing for the coming birthday
of my little brother. My family gathered around my
dad in the hospital. He was suffering from a complication
brought by gastric-intestinal obstraction.
Each time dad was in pain, i knew his moment would come anytime. The thought of losing him made me wrestle with god in prayer. I asked god to give him a longer time to live and to enjoy life with us.
however, my mother showed me how to be strong and faithful during those times of sorrow. Having seen my dad suffer so much, she calmly asked me to offer and to surrender him back to god. Throught his prayer she thaught," lord we ask yout to join my beloved in his last agony", I found it easier to let go beacause i realized that god is there to take care of my dad.

1.  lonewoulfe (354) | 1 year ago |  thats a very sad but at the same time a story of courage & love. i pray that with this experience with you, will make you a person to have the same courage & love. its really hard being on that situation let alone its someone you have adored so much. this things are very hard on anyone. i do really great respect & some form of admiration for anyone to have gone through lifes passages in front of us, most especially, someone that has been part of our life for sometime.
i pray for strength in you.

I have to give you and your mother credit for realizing that your thoughts of him staying with you were selfish thoughts and that our Lord was calling him home were there would be no more pain. I am sorry for your loss and wish you only the foundest memories of your Dad. I know lossing him was very hard. I lost my Dad 16 years ago when I was only 20. It was sudden and unexpected and I still feel the loss today. But I know when I am called home he will be waiting for me as your Dad will for you.

I know that god has a reason why he doing this to us, those person who cary heavy loads will soon be bless, for that they not take down there arms to surrender.
hopefully other son know to love there parents,cause thats the only thing that cant exchange things. | |
