My former employer may become my new employer.

I'm devastated that I never found a dunkin donuts when I was in the states the other year. It's one of those brands that I've always heard of on TV and movies etc, but we don't have it here in the UK. Tell me, are dunkin donut shops always full of fat cops?

Dunkin Donuts was my first management experience years ago. Back then they had counters and people actually sat as you waited on them. Things have changed so much. I see some of the sites that I managed now there is no seating and they all have drive through windows. It's funny. But the coffee has changed and I am still addicted. Hope it goes well for you. I will say you had a lot of ambition riding your bike in the rain.

That is great that you may be working again very soon, even if it is with your former employer. Did you like working there before? This is why people should never burn bridges when they leave a job because you may need that company again later down the road. I have worked with the same company twice myself as I worked with a bank twice. I am sure you will be the best employee they have ever had.

Am glad something is coming along. It should be good to get back to a schedule. I do hope that they can use you when you feel you are available. The next job might come easier now that you might be working again. Worth a shot and the hope that it could lead to bigger and better things. Good luck with this employment situation.

Dunkin Donuts was a franchise in the U.K. for a number of years, then suddenly just closed down, no reason was given, but it seemed to be a reasonable business, and there were a lot of complaints from the franchise holders that they were loosing their businesses. I've enjoyed eating there several times in Glasgow.

Congratulations Elusive! I love Dunkin Donuts, only where I live they closed them all down and then reopened them as a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins store. We also have Taco Bell/Pizza Hut and KFC/Long John Silvers. It's strange when they combine the two places. However when I was pregnant with my son I loved to go to the Dunkin Donuts "Combo" and get a creme filled chocolate long john and a scoop of jamocha ice cream! LOL I'm sure it will go well for you, let us know what happens!!
