To me butterflies are a very beautiful creature. They are so free and have such an elegance about them. They may seem so simple, but to me they are breath taking when I see them.

I love butterflies. To me the repensent purtity,beauty, love. I've never have seen a ugly butterfly have you?

Butterflies are very delicate and colorful, they compliment Mother Nature. In addition, they go through a transformation that people say represents their own personal transformation via the cocoon. I recently hand-made a pillow with the front being butterflies and flowers (It is on Mylot). Butterflies are also light and wispy like a breeze. Their fluttering around seems effortless. Yet we all know if you touch their wings, they cannot fly. My younger sister has a dragonfly tattooed on the back of her right shoulder, and I knew a girl in the military that had another dragonfly tattooed on the small of her back. Butterflies represent the traits and qualities girls assign themselves as being feminine.

Yes that doesn't suprise me that butterflies are loved by so many people. Butterflies are a very beautiful creature. To me, butterflies represent new life. I once met this woman at college who was only in her mid 20's and was a widow. While her husband was sick, he had told her that after he was gone, everytime she saw a butterfly to think of him. Well after she told me this, a very dear friend of mine passed away in a car accident. He (my friend) was dating my best friend and after he died, she and I started to see butterflies all the time. It seemed like they were always around us. For example, there were a number of times when we would be sitting together outside and butterflies would just come up by us and land or simply flutter around our heads..just gave me a sense of peace. I love butterflies even more now since that has all happened. Good post, thanks for sharing with us and starting this conversation.
