1. Asylum (3400) | 3 years ago | I have heard similar to this before, but I have serious doubts as to it's validity. I love opera and spend a large proportion of time playing Puccini or Verdi on the computer while surfing the internet or photo editing etcetera. I do believe that it helps me to work if I have decent music in the background, but that same argument should apply to those people who enjoy heavy rock or punk music.

| 2. Tomcat27 (70) | 3 years ago | i think that's true. somehow it worked for me too when i was back in college reviewing for an exam. i think it's the complexity of the notes that conditions your brain to work better... or maybe because classical music were created by geniuses... just kidding!

3. maryannemax (10433) | 3 years ago | i think it's true. whenever i listen to classical musics, i feel like i am emotionally relaxed and stress free. i think it really does good things for our brain. to relax is really one great thing for our brain to give. it's been working almost every second of the day. so, listening to classical music is really beneficial for our brains.

repzkoopz (1054) | 3 years ago | haha... actually, its not just "almost" every second. the brain works the whole time while we are alive. well, except of course if you're already brain dead. hehehe.. c",)

maryannemax (10433) | 3 years ago | yep! you are right. every millisecond then? hehe! or every milli of every millisecond. hehe. thanks for reminding.

repzkoopz (1054) | 3 years ago | hahaha.. to simplify things, lets just say it works all the time. we're talking about relaxing the brain. i don't want to stress my brain thinking of complex words. hehehe.. c",)

4. elisa812 (2843) | 3 years ago | I think it's true. There's supposed to be a connection between classical music and math. Also, studies have shown that kids who get involved in music tend to score higher on standardized tests and tend to do better in school.
