I'm really asking psychics with this one-do you read for your friends?

Are you comfortable reading for friends? Or do you only read for clients?

I don't really use it like that.

scrying is a much less consistant thing, really.

I use it for ideas, and if they relate to anyone else I'll pass it on.

don't you think it's a bit patronising to call them normals?

I don't mean to sound that way. The word "Cowan" is unfamiliar to many and I didn't want to use a term that people may not know the meaning of...

As most people here on MyLot know, I really live up to my username by serving All and slighting none...

well really, I think that's just as patronising a term.

Galena dear heart, not long ago I read a post that stated that in a British court of law a man was charged with racism for referring to two women as foriegnors, and i jokingly commented that only the Brits are so elitist that foriegnor is synomous with not-of-our-race. I think the idea is simply to indicate that some people are not practicing witchcraft, in peaceful's comment. which to an American outlook is neither patronizing nor racist (nor nationalist)MMA

Dear peaceful, as to your response, (if you are still here reading)I think that's very understandable. the shop I work in doesn't really attract mainstream clients, so I have had a very comfortable time of it for the most part. I will not read out of my home though for the very trouble you refer to. Blessed Be

card reading was passed down to me from my grandmother- both the techniques and the "gift" but my sister who tried it and got nowhere with it is so brilliant at interpreting dreams- incredibly gifted at it. - about her- she disregarded alot of her ability but at middle age she went back to school and became a psychologist. In that framework and at the graduate school she attended which was very supportive of unafiliated spirituality she came into her own with confidence. She participates in dream workshops frequently, more for the validation and interaction with others like herself. But her insights have been of enormous help to me and many others. Dream work is a very special gift.I will post a special topic on cards and dreams as I have lot to say on this subject. And hope for your feedback on both. I always am glad for your in put. You have one of the big gifts.

I'm so sorry I didn't read your comment when you made it. I was away from Mylot for awhile. Just ran across is and found it to be exactly right- I'm sure that you also find clients aren't strangers once the reading begins, but you aren't as caught up in their problems, hopes and dreams as you are with long term friends. I never want to see misfortune in my friends cards unless I see a way to avoid it. My dearest friends often ask- and I answer- but its a frustrating things. I think I edit my own vision unaware that I am doing it. there are three other readers in town that I know of and wouldn't send anyone to them because - they just haven't impressed me as being worth the time. I'd enjoy reading more from you about your experience as a reader.
