This one's simple. Should Clark learn to fly within Smallville tv show?

Ow, that explains why he prefer running than testing how to fly. I remember clark flying and chasing a rocket but I think that's the first and last time I saw him fly.

That scene looks more like he jumped than fly. Don't you think so? He does not need to use so much strength to fly by comparing it to the real superman where he can leave the ground relaxingly.

What about the time when he was dreaming of floating right above Lana. Her eyes sprung open and he woke up, FALLING to the matress? There have been several occasions where they at least hinted at this ability. I don't think that it would take too much away from the smallville series. Rather, it would give a much needed extra dimension to the show and even the character of Clark. He would start out, like all his other abilities. Accidently discovering something. He wouldn't be able to control it, at first, but gradually through the help of Chloe and his mom, would begin to conquer this ability. It would take longer than all the other abilities, maybe even the length of the entire series to get it just right.

I think you are right. When he was shown going after the rocket, he jumped. When he whisked Lana up and leapt to the top of the fortress, he was not flying. Yet, how about the time when he was being called by Jorel and he flew to the plane?

What about the time when he was in that super tornado and kept Lana from harm? He said that he felt as if he was 'willing' himself to her.

I think you're right. But, I believe that the poster right after you has a point: He should be easily flying by the time the last episodes in the last few seasons roll by.

I like your style. What's the best thing about superman? He can fly. When I was a kid, that's all I really cared about.

What if he got a NEW power? Remember in the fourth movie with the Sun God or whatever. There was a stone wall that crumbled? Superman used some weird blue ray out of his eyes to reconstruct everything exactly as it was before!

I don't want to lose the sense of suspense...but I want him to fly...I do, I do! What can I do to get both?

Oh boy, I sure hope so. I am hopelessly addicted to the series and it all started out innocently enough. I heard about Smallville, and thought, "Hey. Why not. It won't be any better than 'Lois and Clark', because they're a bunch of kids, but I'll give it a shot."
Man was I ever wrong on that one!

Now I'm hooked and have gotten every season on DVD except for the sixth. I hope that they're going up to at least ten seasons. A nice, round number ought to make for a very satisfying conclusion, don't you think?
