Interview Tips

Making a good impression at a job interview should not have to cost you anything. Clothing-wise, you don't need to spend much to kit yourself out with a nice top and skirt or pants, along with clean shoes and stockings. Remember, you can wear the same outfit to several interviews - you're meeting different people after all! As long as you are tidy and presentable, it doesn't matter whether you wear designer clothes or not. Keep jewellery and heavy perfume to a minimum, don't smoke just before the interview (no matter how nervous you are!), try and smile and take deep breaths before you go in. If possible, try to find out as much as you can about the company or the area you are applying for - it helps a lot when answering questions and also looks good that you have been interested enough to do some independent research!

Good tips! I just want to chip in to say that confidence plays a huge role in a successful interview too. When you are confident, you naturally speak more coherently. When you are able to drive your point across, you will logically perform better at your interview. Further, it is always more comfortable and enjoyable to communicate with a confident person than not. :P

Thanks for providing the information, I appreciate your sincere efforts. Even I hardly care about whether I have smoked or anything it's confidence only which can let you to the top on list of best canditate .

LOL - I have what I refer to as my "power suit" simple dark blue skirt and jacket, I have several blouses to wear with it, nutral stockings and dark blue simple pumps. Every interview I've worn that suit to I've been offered the job. The suit was a hand-me-down from my mom several years ago. All these are great tips and anyone looking for a job should follow them.
