How do you get rid of the smell of garlic?

Have you tried washing the board with lemon juice? The citric acid in the lemon juice seems to cut through the oily residue of garlic and other smelly things. This might help hun

I did the exact same thing once (oops, now I use a plastic or glass cutting board for smelly stuff like garlic and onions, my wood board is for veggies only). I rubbed half a fresh lemon on the board, let it sit for a while, then washed in soapy water, and no more smell! Lemon juice saves the day again.;)

I even use lemon.you can use white veniger what you generally uses in your cooking.

I sprinkle table salt on my hands before washing to get rid of the onion or garlic smell. I imagine that it'd work on a cutting board too. Or you could just use some bleach and then wash it really well.
