Who Will Live or Die in this Last Book?

I wonder about the malfoys being finished off. Snape may have made an agreement with Narcissa to finish DD off if Draco didn't do it but I dont think Voldemort was there at the time was he? LOL
He wont take an agreement between his minions as making any difference to his promise to Draco of murdering his whole family. So anyway,I think either Mr,Mrs or both elder Malfoy's will die,probably MR because Bellatrix is sister to Mrs and he doesn't want to cause too much dissent in the ranks.
I think the other person to Die is most likely to be voldemort although he nearly died before and was only saved by Peter pettigrew who I think will not do that a second time.

Interesting....I heard that JK Rowling said she didn't want anyone to carry on the characters once the series has finished. Now this seems an odd thing to say as unless every character died she will not be abl eto prevent this. I interpreted this to mean that she would kill off Harry but thinking about it perhaps she was just stating a desire that she doesn't want it to happen and not implying that she was actually going to write the story in a way that it could not happen.

As it is a children's book I think that the three main children will all survive. Perhaps I am just being a bit optimistic here! The guy sobbing may not have been due to a main chracter dying - I think the death of a Weasley or even another child coudl be quite upsetting. Or even if Harry is badly injured so cannot be an auror or something like that coudl be written in quite an emotional way. Of course we have ignored the fact that it could be a very happy emotional ending.

I think that Snape may be absent for a while and then turn up just in time to save Harry at a very crucial moment. i think he needs to prove to the readers that Dumbledore was right to trust him. I am not sure whether he will die. Perhaps that will be the upsetting ending - no one (not even the readers) has any trust in him, then he proves that he is good but it is too late for anyone to rescue him and he dies thinking that everyone hates him. What do you think?

I am only on book one, but my cousin is a HUGE Harry Potter fan(she is 17) and she can not get enough of these books.
I don't remember her saying anything about Harry dying in the future though. Personally, I would be sad if that happened.

I like your idea of Snape weakening Voldemort for Harry. I agree that Snape has always been striving for recognition. I feel that it is very possible that he will be one of the ones to die.

I also feel strongly that Neville Longbottom will be one of the ones who dies. Possibly standing up for his friends.

I don't think (maybe wishful thinking) Harry will be one to die. Dumbledore was happy when Harry told him how Voldemort resurrected himself using Harry's blood. Now both won't have to die if one does, because in essence part of Harry (his blood) will die if Voldemort does...and I think he will, finally.

I really hope that none of the Weasleys or Hermione make that list.

I think that Snape will figure heavily in this last book even if he's no longer at Hogwarts. He still has a debt to pay to Harry's father who saved his life when they were students and I think Snape will try to save HP's life when Harry faces Voldemort. And since the prophecy said that either HP or LV has to die in the end, I think its LV and Snape who will die in Book 7. Or am I just wishful thinking?
*LOL* I still believe in happy endings though and I don't want the three best friends nor Ginny to die in the end.

It would be really really sad if Harry died in the end. JKR would probably introduce more characters in the book and kill them off. My guess is that Voldemort would be the other major character who will be killed. Or one of Harry's friends who would sacrifice their life for him. It would still be sad either way. Harry is becoming bitter and dark as the book is progressing. I do hope Rowling has good stuff in store for Harry and Hogwarts.

See, the quote I remember about two characters dying, that everyone is using for their arguments about who will die and that just 2 characters will die, is actually not just "only 2 characters die". It was something along the lines of "I saved one character, but 2 characters I did not intend to die, did" So I believe that more than just two major characters will die.

If you want to hear the two characters who are going to die here you go:

The one to die early would be one of the Weasleys most probably papa Weasley. And the one to die at the end would of course be Harry Potter.

BTW, the book has long tresspassed the realms of children. I don't think any child under the age of 15 is going to understand the complexities of the plot from the third book onwards. So I guess that is not with JK Rowling's consideration at all.

i think DD has asked snape to help him finish off himself nd help harry aftrwards to kill voldy
harry has to die...that's for sure nd if harry dies voldy is also destined to die
