What song on the radio is currently driving you insane?  

Just like you ,I don't usually listen to radio ,but sometimes when I am travelling in a cab ,the driver might switch on the radio and I remember a few years back when I used to constantly travel in cab ,I was subjected to that kind of torture of having to listen to the same song many times over,lol.Even when it's a great song ,it could become quite a pain in the neck due to it's redundance.One such song I had to hear was Sting's ''I'll be watching you''.Yeah,I know it is a very good song ,but as I said sometimes the redundance just takes out the joy.

For me it's "Forever the Same" by Rob Thomas. All of the lite-rock stations love it cause its so middle-of-the=road, but to me its a lame cop-out. When Matchbox 20 started, they could rock but this is what it's evolved into? Yecchhh!

They all drive me insane. That is why I don't listen to the radio. If I do it definitely will not be pop. That isn't really music. It is more like audio entertainment. It takes no musical talent to write or perform that stuff.

I am so glad somebody posted a discussion on this subject, because it just so happens that Lumidee's horrid attempt at remaking "she's like the wind" by Patrick Swayze is probably the most obnoxious song in the entire world. The original was such a great song. Good beat, music, and even though Mr. Swayze wasn't a great singer without the studio fixing his voice, good singer. I grew up listening to that soundtrack, Dirty Dancing I mean, and when I heard the new crap version they have I almost, well you can imagine. Wow! How you can go from something very classy like the original to that is beyond me. I sometimes wonder why new artists can't come up with their own songs. I mean do they always have to try and remake something that doesn't need remaking?

The song that's been driving me crazy lately is this song "I'd Rather" by Luther Vandross. It just makes me realize how stupid I was for playing with my partner's feelings before and ended up realizing that it was really him who was worth fighting for and not that other guy I entertained. The lyrics would always hit me... because it's really happening to us.
